DIY Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans

Today in my ongoing series on how to throw a Harry Potter Party (or just how to make a fun Harry Potter candy craft) I’m going to show you a very easy DIY Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans craft. Perfect for a party activity or treat, a stocking stuffer, a decoration, or a random rainy craft day!

  • First, gather your materials. You will need:
  • A color printer or access to one
  • White card stock
  • A printout of a Bertie Bott’s box. I used this one.
  • Scissors
  • A hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Jellybeans

Begin by printing out however many Bertie Bott’s boxes you plan on making on your cardstock.

Cut out the box around all of the edges. I leave the white spaces in the middle of the box but if you want to get really authentic you can cut them out with an exacto knife and cover them with some clear cellophane.

Start folding your box. Gently fold along the edges of the sides where the triangle peaks are on top.

Fold the bottom cream pieces under.

They should look like this at this stage.

Take your hot glue gun and glue the edge of the box so it is in a rectangular shape.

Hold shut until glue dries.

Fold cream parts of box under. They should easily align. Add a little hot glue where necessary to make your Bertie Bott’s box sturdy.

Your box should now look like this. You can either add your jellybeans now or after you do the last folding touch.

To get fancy (and to take up more room to make your jellybean supply stretch,) you can add tissue paper or cellophane to the bottom of the Bertie Bott’s Box. Pour jellybeans in. I used regular JellyBellys  here but you can use cheaper substitutes. You can also get more authentic and add the special Bertie Bott’s every flavor beans that they sell, mixing in delicious flavors with soap, vomit, and more! You can get some of the special beans here.

Gently fold the top four triangles inwards until they meet in a peak. You could always punch holes in the top and tie them with ribbon for more jellybean security, but I like to just fold it closed.

And now you have your own DIY Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans to add to your Harry Potter collection!
