If you love books, Harry Potter, and Christmas, why not combine all three and make your own DIY Harry Potter Christmas tree?
First, start by gathering your materials. You will need:
- A paperback book roughly 160 pages long. Find one that was damaged like I did or use a book that no one wants anymore. You can also use a graphic novel.
- Scissors (optional)
- Glitter (optional)
- Sequins, ornamentation (optional)
First, gently remove the cover from the book.
Take your first book page. Fold backwards into a triangle the width of the page. Crease sharply.
Take the book page and fold over again. Crease.
Fold the bottom triangle underneath so the bottom of your tree is flat.
Take your next page and repeat.
Repeat some more!
Do this over and over again until you reach the end of the book.
Here’s what it looks like if you use a graphic novel.
These next step(s) are optional. You can create a tree topper or other decorations. I cut out a star and added Dobby and glitter for mine.
Admire your festive work!
