Chapter Twenty-Seven: The Final Hiding Place
In chapter twenty-seven of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows the trio ride a dragon and it’s less thrilling then it sounds, Voldemort loses his last remaining evil brain cells, and Harry rightfully screams “I told you so” at Hermione and Ron forevermore.
(Please be advised that this is a reread and I will be discussing book and movie spoilers.)
Our trio are riding a dragon, and as gangster metal as that sounds,
apparently it is in the reality of the Harry Potter world, dull as dirt and kind of cold. Finally our trio drop into a handy lake to escape dragon-belly-itis and thankfully, the goblins of Gringotts are taking their sweet ass time to tell Voldemort that the Lestranges vault has been broken into. Of course the question is why they even tell Voldemort at all? Although I suppose the loud dragon esque way the trio escapes makes it necessary for the goblins to be honest.
In the movie, we see that Griphook is also killed by the Voldemort in his fury, but in the book we have no idea what happened to him, and if he got off scott free, and I kind of want to know?
So Harry travels to LV’s brain and sees him losing his everloving shit on the goblin who told him this news and kills a whole bunch of other nameless people and err…. Voldz, I think you might need these followers, brah?
Lucky for Harry, Lord V is thinking a lot about Horcruxes and Harry finding them, but unluckily for Harry, he can’t quite see where exactly the last one is, or what it is, just that it’s at Hogwarts. Harry can’t resist repeatedly saying he knew it but somehow resists slapping Ron and Hermione silly for doubting him about this important part and ARGH do you think the things that happen in book six and seven make Ron and Hermione never doubt Harry again? Like they’re all “Harry are you sure this new pub is good we heard they serve half raw chicken” and Harry’s like “BITCH remember about the Horcrux at Hogwarts and Malfoy being a Death Eater?” and Ron and Hermione just quietly eat that raw pub chicken and don’t even tell him when they get food poisoning.
So our trio get their cloak on
and head back to where we wanted them all along this book, lets be real, HOGWARTS!
