You’re not alone! Here’s a list of fifteen activities for the Harry Potter fan to have as much fun as Hermione walking into a library for the first time.

 1. Book Binge

This one is obvious, but number one on my list has got to be a Harry Potter book binge! Reread your favorite book in the series or all seven (you’ve got time). Top it off with a reading of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Quidditch Through the Ages, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the movie screenplays for the Fantastic Beasts franchise, or even *gasp* The Cursed Child. Branch out as a Rowling fan and try her fantastic detective series about Cormoran Strike.

2. Movie Marathon

After you’ve read the books, put on your comfiest outfit, get a serving of your unhealthiest food, and get ready to not move for hours while you marathon all eight movies. Watch the behind the scenes stuff and deleted scenes, and add on the two Fantastic Beasts movies. Take a look at my tips on 10 things You Need For a Harry Potter Marathon before you get started.

3. Harry Potter Crafts

There’s an enormous variety of Harry Potter crafts out there. I’ll link to some tutorials I’ve created for HP crafts and HP Christmas crafts, but your friend is also Pinterest! Every tutorial known to wizardkind is on there (including mine) so whether you’ve got lots of art supplies or very little, you can find any kind of craft you seek.

4. Harry Potter Book Discussions

Perhaps you’re done reading the books for the millionth time and want to discuss them with someone. Start with my wacky, overly detailed rereads of the books. Send me your comments and we can chat! Join my brand new Harry Potter fanfiction book club to read fanfic and discuss with Potterheads! Go to forums on websites such as Mugglenet, follow @BookclubReborn on twitter, text or call a Harry Potter friend, or start your own discussion.

5. Harry Potter Games

Maybe you’re a lucky soul who has been gifted Harry Potter games to play like me, but even if you don’t have an actual Harry Potter board games, you can find tons of free Harry Potter printables and games online. Use Pinterest to find crosswords, word searches, puzzles, DIY games, and more. Make a scavenger hunt for Horcruxes and create a Triwizard Tournament.

6. Harry Potter Coloring

Who doesn’t love to color? Brew yourself some coffee or tea and create your own caffeinated coloring session. You can find lots of free coloring pages online to print.

7. Harry Potter Pictures

Take some pics of your Harry Potter merch. Share it on your social media or just enjoy with friends, family, or yourself. Get creative and have fun with various Harry potter hashtags.

8. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Revel in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Sure, maybe you can’t go now…but you can go in the future. Read some blogs on the Wizarding World, watch videos of the park, and reminisce with the cast at the grand openings. Plan out your future dream trip! What ride are you going on first? What merchandise are you going to buy? What will you wear?

9. Harry Potter Fan Fiction

Do you want to read more Harry Potter but have read all the books to shreds? There’s oodles of free content online to enjoy. You can read canon compliant fanfiction (stories that follow everything JKR wrote but adds on to the story) or you can go wild and read all of the time traveling body swapping Voldemort/Harry shipping fanfic you can find! Read one of my favorites, The Shoebox Project! Check out An Archive of Our Own and fanfiction.net.

10. Harry Potter Quizzes

There are tons of Harry Potter quizzes online. Take the official sorting quiz at Wizarding World (formerly Pottermore) and take the eleventy billion quizzes Buzzfeed has written over the years to find out which spell is your signature move or which Slytherin you’re going to marry. (…I don’t know if these exist but they probably do somewhere…)

11. Harry Potter Cosplay

Try your hand at creating a costume from a Harry Potter character. Print out Luna Lovegood glasses, DIY a Harry Potter scar on your forehead with some eyeliner, attempt to make your own wand with paint, wood, and hot glue. Get on your fanciest clothes and learn dances for your very own Yule Ball.

12. Harry Potter Videos

Explore the world of Harry Potter videos on youtube and other platforms. Scads of interviews by the cast, JKR, and fan made content can keep you occupied for hours. Enjoy one of my favorites!

13. Harry Potter Food

Whip up your own alcoholic or non-alcoholic butterbeer, make cauldron cakes, feast on Shepherd’s pie, and decorate your own pretzel candy wands. There are endless magical treats to create. Follow my tutorials for chocolate frogs and Bertie Bott’s Beans.

14. Build the Wizarding world

Maybe you have a LEGO set you’ve been meaning to create, or perhaps you’ve got some wood and tools, or a handy stack of gingerbread around. Why not create your own buildings and sets from the Wizarding World to decorate your room with?

15. Discover Wizard Rock

Perhaps you’ve heard me yammer on about Harry and the Potters before. But if you haven’t, enjoy the new world of Wizard Rock I’ve opened up before you. Sing along to lyrics from Draco and the Malfoys like “Oh Pansy, you are the girl of my dreams, because all the other girls in Slytherin are fugly.” Bop to The Moaning Myrtles harmonizing on why Prefects are Hot. Join The Whomping Willows in telling Draco and Harry to just kiss already. Blast some music and flail along!
