Easy DIY Book Page Flowers

The holiday season is fast upon us and I’ve got a very simple DIY craft that you can make into ornaments, accessories for packages, or just decorations! I’ve already showed you how to make DIY Book Page Roses, but today I’ve got an even easier version of a DIY Book Page Flower. Once you get the hang of it you can make these flowers in mere minutes. So let’s get to it!

To begin with, gather your materials. You will need:

  • An old book page from a recycled book
  • Scissors
  • A hot glue gun
  • Hot glue sticks
  • Ribbon (optional)
  • Ornamentation -pearls, jewels, sequins, glitter, paint (optional)

First, cut out five squares. I used approximately 2 inch squares but you can adjust based on how large you’d like your flower to be. Fold one square in half, in a triangle shape.

Fold each corner upwards to meet in a point.

This is the trickiest part. Take one of your folded upward sides and bend downwards along the bottom edge.

Fold the other side as well. Don’t worry about perfection.

Take your corners on each point and fold under, hiding inside.

Repeat to the other side.

Now fold your small triangles inwards in half once more on each side.

Take your hot glue gun and glue the sides together into a petal shape.

Repeat until you have five petals.

Now glue your five petals together.

Add any ornamentation you’d like to your flower. Get creative with paint, glitter, beads, sequins, etc. I added a small fake pearl to mine. This step is optional and you can leave your flower without additions. It still looks awesome!

Add to a package for a special homemade touch!

Go wild and make lots of book page flowers and glue them into a ball, making a fun hanging decoration or ornament!

So pop on your favorite tv show or movie and get to making your own Easy DIY Book Page Flowers!
