In my wrap-up post of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, let’s talk favorite and least favorite moments, and what we expected out of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
(Please be advised that this is a reread and I will be discussing book and movie spoilers.)
On reread, I’ve learned so much. There are more Hagrid stans then me.
Neville forgot his robes and that’s why his remembrall lit up (it was still a very foolish present for a fellow forgetful.)

I will never stop detesting Snape’s bullying of children, particularly Neville and Hermione, who are both outsiders being bullied by the other students already. This could’ve had a crippling, lifelong effect on both (and indeed, it does for quite a while on Neville, but I’m jumping ahead of myself as usual.)
I am left more and more Confunded on why Dumbledore is such a damn weirdo about Harry,
why McGonagall has an aneurysm and gives four first years a deadly detention for like, strolling the corridors late COME ON MINERVA IT WASN’T THAT BAD YOU KNOW YOU’VE CAUGHT STUDENTS DOING THE HORIZONTAL BROOM AND TOOK FIVE POINTS AT MOST
and what on Earth actually happened to Quirrell? And who gave him such a name that it sounds like the man can’t even buy a licorice wand without consulting someone for permission (yes I know, our benevolent overlord J.K. Rowling) but dang, Quirrell’s parents! What did you expect when you named your son Quirinus Quirrell? A titanium spined Herculean hero?
As a big of a pills as Snape and D-Malfs are it’s maybe awful to take the house cup away from the other Slytherins as brutally as A-Dumbs does
and Harry is my Sassy Hero, always and forever. His sass is especially delightful because it often comes at random moments, or times when it’s super scary to be sassy, but here he goes, Sassy Harry-ing away!
Now we come to what I warn you is nostalgically my favorite book and movie in the whole series, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Logically it’s actually Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban that’s my favorite book, but Chamber of Secrets holds the fondest spot in my heart. But I won’t tell you why…quite yet.
